Cesar Rojo of Cero Design and the man behind UNNO bikes dropped in on us at Whistler during Crankworx. He was riding and showing off his exotic carbon downhill bike to the droves of curious, drooling on-lookers. The talented Spaniard has a World Cup DH pedigree as he was part of the original Global Racing squad in the early 2000's. Combining his riding skill with a passion for engineering, Cesar, through his company Cero Design, is likely the reason that your head angle is comfortably slack and your reach measurements are roomy. Enjoy some history and philosophy as we discuss the past, present and future of mountain biking and his exotic UNNO bikes.

What year was that 'forward geometry' mondraker dh bike where he thinks it was the first to drop below a 65 degree headangle? Cuz I know of two others.

IIRC Banshee was pretty early on that train too... But it's fair to say that Cesar was AMONG the pioneers of long/low/slack because it's true enough. And he was almost certainly the most radical-thinking.

Great Inside Line, Guys! I love the industry angle and I admire Cesar quite a bit. Go Spain!

I truly enjoyed getting to know a little slice of Cesar. Every time I asked a question, I had to just sit back and take a moment to absorb the knowledge he was providing. As an owner and active participant in a design firm with 50+ employees, Cesar has accomplished a lot for a man in his 30's and is as genuine as they come. Keep up the good work!
