Steve Walton and his $200 Honda

When you want to race, you figure it out.

Steve, the Honda, and the V4 all made it to Killington, photo as proof!

Spilly, Swolinator, Steve Walton has acquired a few nicknames over the years, and there is a story behind each one. At 17 he's not your average teenager. He's a resourceful guy, going to any and many lengths to get where he's going. Of recent, his most notable feat is buying a car online for $200 and driving across country. He claim's he spent less than $150 in gas doing it, though the quarts of oil he's bought add a small increase to his overhead for car fluids. The car made it to West Virginia for National Champs and then onto Vermont for the next Pro GRT. He's slept in this car, he's had the windows down in a hot water rainstorm, and I'm sure the shenanigans will continue as the summer progresses. He ended up winning the Killington Pro GRT, so clearly the time and money he put into this car were well spent. Vital caught up with Steve after Seeding on Saturday to have a chat and look around his hot wheels!

[STEVE WALTON AUDIO]

Privateer sock game.
It all fits.
Out of the car and into the stand!

Steve is ready to race.

On track and on fire.

Hand signals for the boys.
It is like a one man car show!
Exhaust swag. It sounds like lawn equipment.

The need for...speed?

That is a lot of car fluids.
Proper shifter lever.
The action seat.
That is so factory.

The wheel of glory!

Anti-theft lug nuts!

All the power you need to get from Cali to VT!
It is all in there.

Count them, that is 1-6 baby!

Doing a car check, might as well do an oil check.
It is a little low.
Just top it off.

It is legit.

Spot the race number.
