The plan was simple; educate retailers, ride bikes, have fun, stay warm and share the world of SR SUNTOUR with all! In February of 2014 the North America SR SUNTOUR crew went on a road trip to visit Rays Indoor Bike Park in Milwaukee WI and Cleveland OH. We invited along two of our favorite ambassadors Eric Carter and Brett Tippie; loaded a van with bikes, product, a megaphone and headed east from Madison WI. The following is a short recap of the 4-day journey.
Lots of gear and like all good road trips this was as organized as it got.
Bicycle retailers taking some time to learn, we like to make things easier and this is part of the equation. Thanks to all who came.
Tippie being Tippie, getting warmed up for some MC radness.
It was cold the entire trip and Carter did not bring a jacket. Yes we were being his mother!
We present the SR SUNTOUR mini rhythm/jump line, which doubled as the “Beat the Pro” Milwaukee racecourse.
Eric Carter is one smart racer; he studies, finds the line and goes for the win. He never lost a “Beat the pro” race, came close, but always found ways to shave time.
We could have jumped this line for hours, so fun!
The Cleveland course suited 20” wheels, a few almost beat Carter. One sweet hip in the background!
You cannot see it all but there is 150,000+ square feet of goodness here, Rays Cleveland.
A few young guns back flipped this, you may have seen the edit? It was taken down before none of us hurt ourselves, not that we would have even tried. It was big.
This was a great event and we are already planning on doing it again in 2015, we hope to see you there. Until then, ride often.
We want to give a special thanks to Ray Petro who had a vision and created these great places, it’s much appreciated!
