Norco Officially Releases the Aurum HSP Downhill Bike - Sea Otter Classic 3

Extensive testing lead Norco to develop a high single-pivot downhill bike. It's now available in 27.5 and 29-inch versions.

During the 2017 UCI World Cup season, the Norco Factory Racing team was heavily involved in the testing process of Norco's new downhill bike – the Aurum HSP. As a testament to what the design is capable of, just about every Vital RAW video from the 2017 World Cups featured at least one of Norco's racers flying by at ridiculous speeds. Jonesing for more insight, we met up with Norco designer and engineer, David Cox, for a run down on the bike's development process, suspension tuning, geometry, and the many fine details that tie it all together:

The Aurum HSP was designed with a single purpose: to be the fastest downhill bike we’ve ever made.
