The Kenda Hellkat and Helldiver tires are used by Mick and Tracey Hannah and the Polygon UR team. The DH versions of the tires feature Kenda’s Advanced Gravity Casing which is basically a dual-layer rubber with rigid rubber insert on top of the bead of the tire to help prevent pinch flats and burping. Kenda's Vector Shield protects the sidewalls against tears and the Iron Cloak Belt adds extra puncture protection. The RSR (Race Stick-e Rubber) compounds used are slow- and soft-rebounding for maximum grip and performance. 2.6-inch wide versions of these tires will be available soon.
Kenda’s new Advanced Trail Casing is optimized for enduro and trail riding, dropping weight over the Advanced Gravity Casing. The tires use a dual compound tread with 62a durometer rubber down the middle and 55a rubber on the side knobs. Paired with K-Armor instead of Iron Cloak, puncture resistance is maximized while weight is shed.
Hellkat DH - (27.5 x 2.4): 1100-1200g with AGC, 820-860g with ATC
Helldiver - 970g with AGC and ATC version TBD
Kenda’s Nevegal 2 is the evolution of their original Nevegal. The tire has gone through a complete make over with less rolling resistance, new rubber compound and the Advanced Trail Casing. The folding bead version comes in at around 810g.
EMC is Kenda’s e-bike tire build. There is a reinforced ply of woven fabric and extra layer of puncture protection for e-MTB’s making them E-Bike 50 certified.
