Sven Martin, long-time friend of Greg and Vital media guru at large captured a fantastic weekend of World Champs activity. He and Greg discussed all his past world champs wins prior to the race, with candor and transparency, and then they were able to get together after Greg won again this year to discuss how it all came together. The class act that Minnaar is, he deflects to his support crew as the reason he won, and Sven manages to get their insight too with Lyle, Greg's mechanic, Laura, his physical trainer, Jordi from FOX and the legend himself, Rob Roskopp. There's even a bonus clip with Arthur, an engineer at Commencal, discussing the V10 as Greg listens on.

Re: the question about making a high pivot VPP frame. For a paper for my degree I designed a high pivot VPP enduro frame, and the kinematics/axle path/tunability on paper are all f*cking dope. I have no doubt it would perform, but it's hard to make it work in smaller sizes because there's only so low you can have that top link. Having travel north of 170mm could be a problem too, compressing the VPP linkage into a smaller space means it's gonna get very progressive.

What do we think about Greg going with the adjustment to shorter reach with stiffer suspension? Have we reached the point of max reach?

I've pulled back on reach so I can run a 50mm stem for more consistent weight on the front tire. I feel more natural and relaxed because I'm not worried about washing out.

that is one way of doing it. The plower way is by lenghning the back end. Another way is by getting a steeper head angle, that could be interesting to test.
