Rotec is back with a vengeance and is busy creating a line up that currently includes four different models. Headlining the show are the Nine and Twentynine downhill bikes, shown here in prototype form. Rotec expects to have bikes available in early 2018 and does indeed plan to move forward with the 29 downhill frame for production as well. The Twentynine is compatible with both 29" and 27.5" wheels after flipping the rear links and adding a new derailleur hanger specific to that link. A geometry adjustment is location in the lower shock mount to keep things consistent between the two wheel sizes.
Rotec also plans to further simplify these designs eliminating some welds and some weight in the center of the frame by moving to a clam shell layout. They will also move to a larger upper pivot for added frame stiffness. Like all Rotec bikes it features a concentric pivot around the bottom bracket.
Rotec also introduced us to the Revo, a new 4.3" (110mm) travel trail bike that's compatible with both 27.5+ and 29" wheel sizes. The bike is designed around a 120mm to 140mm fork, and has a 68.5 degree headangle at the middle of the range. The full carbon frame has internal cable routing, postmount rear disc brake, pressfit BB, and a flex stay suspension design.
