Cameron Zink - Relentless

It's almost time for Crankworx Whistler. And it's impossible to think of Crankworx without the mind straying to the iconic slopestyle contest that is the crown jewel in this the biggest celebration of all things mountain biking - the Red Bull Joyride. Held on the legendary Boneyard, this is the freeride mountain bike contest that everybody wants to win. It's bigger, gnarlier, and more prestigious than any other slopestyle contest on the planet.

A double winner of the event already, 2012 was not to be Cam Zink's year. As one of very few riders willing to push the boat out that little bit further, Zink paid the trailblazers toll last year, much like at Rampage. He gambled with a big nac flip on the massive 60-footer, and came agonizingly close to sticking what would surely have been a run in contention - but as it were, we'd have to wait another year to see if Zink can pull off a record third win at the Joyride.

We've probably become too accustomed to seeing riders stick flawless runs on big courses, such is the level of riding these days. Well, here's a candid and raw look at Zink going into the 2012 Joyride battle - trying to land his dream run to put the contest away. Cam, you're the man!

Relentless - the freerider's life. The 2013 edition of Crankworx Whistler is about to start. After a couple of misfires earlier this year (X-Games for example), Zink will be chomping a the bit to throw down, once again. We'll be watching!
