Bigger Berms! 2014 Sea Otter Dual Slalom Course Photos 19

Keith DeFiebre and his team have been hard at work prepping the 2014 Sea Otter Dual Slalom course. Check out an assortment of his build pics, notes, and the final product below. Looking good! We're always impressed by the work these guys do in a short amount of time.

Sea Otter action kicks off this Thursday. Get pumped, it's officially biking season.

So fun shaping berms and forming jumps. Always enjoy working with dirt and creating my visions of what is going to be super fun to ride fast on.So fun shaping berms and forming jumps. Always enjoy working with dirt and creating my visions of what is going to be super fun to ride fast on.

I threw out some wild flower seeds a few years ago to add some special touches to the top of the Sea Otter Classic Dual Slalom. Nice to see the beautiful flowers come to life each spring.I threw out some wild flower seeds a few years ago to add some special touches to the top of the Sea Otter Classic Dual Slalom. Working the slalom berms hard and they seem to take a life of their own and get bigger, and bigger, and bigger… eventually becoming monster berms.Working the slalom berms hard and they seem to take a life of their own and get bigger, and bigger, and bigger… eventually becoming monster berms.

One of my favorite parts of the Sea Otter Classic Slalom build is working the 20-pound over-sized sledge hammer to get the gates in super deep. Added a new triple step up section into gap jump that only the best racers will be able to showboat on and execute the final big gap clearance. Others will have to jump the step up and manual the rest. Been wanting to add this the past few years. Getting very busy here at Laguna Seca Raceway.Added a new triple step up section into gap jump that only the best racers will be able to showboat on and execute the final big gap clearance.
