We started this series out by posting a bunch of Sven's answers in a single article. Features 1 and 2 were PACKED with epic photos and awesome stories that could have been easy to miss in our hyper-scrolling digital age. We've decided to make these nuggets a bit more digestible with a single question and answer per feature.

If you could go back in time to a race or event that you didn't shoot, which would it be?
Back in 1998, Sven didn't think much of mountain biking. Despite some of his close surf and skate friends getting into the sport, he couldn't get over the fact that, from an outsider's perspective,seemed to have a pretty high kook-factor to it.
While Sven scored waves in 1998/1999, his friends went to the World Cup in Stellenbosch near his home, and if he could travel through time, Sven would miss a barrel to catch the racing at what is now a favorite riding zone when he returns home to South Africa for a visit.
