Schwalbe’s full line of trail, all-mountain, enduro and downhill tires are now available in their four new Addix compounds. The color-coded stripe on the tire indicates the what compound you’re running.
- Speed - fast-rolling, XC riding
- Speedgrip (blue) - a trail / all-mountain mix
- Soft (orange), - replaces the Trailstar compound
- Ultra Soft (purple)- replaces the Vertstar compound
These two replacement compounds offer better durability and grip compared to Trailstar and Vertstar
Tread patterns and names don’t change. Magic Mary remains the go-to, all arounder for aggressive riding. The Hans Dampf is geared toward the trail / all-mountain crowd. The Dirty Dan is for when it gets nasty and the Rock Razor offers a fast-rolling tread pattern in the middle with aggressive side knobs.
All tires come in sizes up to 2.5-inches wide while the Magic Mary has a 2.6 and 2.8-inch wide version in both Soft and Speedgrip compounds. The Rock Razor is offered in up to a 2.6-inch width as well playing on modern trends of bigger tires.
