All that lightweight high end kit on a dream rig & it weighs over 35lbs? Why does it weighs 36lbs? Dt 350 hubs, XT bits...is all that Zoke stuff that heavy?

nice one, but why did you choose a drivetrain from 3 different manufacturers?! I`m sure this doesn´t shift as good as if everything was from one company.

I also meant that you added a KMC chain to the groupset. Good to hear that it works for you! Was just wondering.

Ah, that makes sense. The KMC chain is per the eThirteen cassette compatability guidance: KMC is "recommended" while a Shimano chain is only "compatible".

Shimano chain = hot garbage. Got a fresh XTR that I have 10 pedal strokes on that will never touch a drivetrain again.

Coming off a 34# bike with a 29" rear wheel I figured I'd try the 34t ring. We'll see how long it lasts...

It's really only Shimano with an eThirteen cassette. The shifter is XTR instead of XT because there were no more XTs in stock and I had an XTR laying around. I chose the eThirteen cassette for more range at less weight and half the cost of an XT/XTR cassette. So far so good on the two test rides as far as shifting performance 🤘

Yes, the Marzocchi fork/shock alone are about 2 lbs heavier than the stock Fox combo would have been, but so far I will take the weight penalty for the increased performance of the double coil setup. In my opinion, combining the coil suspension with the small rear wheel and short rear end of this bike you get the best of both worlds: super supple off the top and still really poppy and playful. I was going for durability over anything else with this build; hence, the not-so-light wheel/tire combo as well.
