General Info
Started with the frame and built it up with my favorite parts.
Remarkable bits:
Mutt drivetrain, including the XTR 11-speed HG+ cassette that Shimano only made for a few months.
Oval chainring that had to be dremeled to make it work with the idler
BTLOS wheels from China. Small company that did a stronger layup for the rear wheel upon request.
The Zeb is feeling incredible now, but it was a real journey to get there. Ended up changing to lighter damper oil, burnishing the bushings, and using a trutune insert with one token.
The gold bits that started with the oval chainring. Bought it on a whim, then went nuts trying to match other components to it. Way harder than silver/chrome/steel stuff!
