Additional Info

Started with the frame and built it up with my favorite parts. 

Remarkable bits:

Mutt drivetrain, including the XTR 11-speed HG+ cassette that Shimano only made for a few months. 

Oval chainring that had to be dremeled to make it work with the idler

BTLOS wheels from China. Small company that did a stronger layup for the rear wheel upon request.

The Zeb is feeling incredible now, but it was a real journey to get there. Ended up changing to lighter damper oil, burnishing the bushings, and using a trutune insert with one token.

The gold bits that started with the oval chainring. Bought it on a whim, then went nuts trying to match other components to it. Way harder than silver/chrome/steel stuff!

Thanks, Vital! Happy to nerd out if anyone has questions or comments. And to address the riser bars, I'm 6'4" and that's the best way to get the grips high enough. If the saddle is at full extension, it's well above the grips, to give an idea of my weird proportions.

Love the 60mm risers! Im only 6' and gangly and my 50mm are above my seat too. Plus it saves your back. I've always thought the Claymore was one of the best looking bikes out there.

You need some Meaty Paws on there!

Maybe we just need to make it socially acceptable to have 50mm of spacers under our stems! 😃

How do you find the TruTune? I had a '23 Zeb at 180 and had real difficulty getting full travel, I've now switched to an Ohlin's fork but interested to hear your thoughts on the TruTune anyway..

The Trutune works! I also was having trouble getting full travel, which the trutune fixed. Definitely made the fork more linear. I think tight bushings were also affecting things, and since getting them burnished I don't feel the trutune is as necessary. Right now I have it in there with one token, so it's like half a trutune insert.

Or just don't care if you run a bunch of spacers? I know I prefer to have bars at a decent height and ignore a comment about the looks here or there. At least until I get some higher bars than the 35 mm I have on currently.
