Vallecitos area, involved in the Plata`s mountain rage of Mendoza, was the site of the second Open Shimano Argentina date.
Riders from Argentina, Chile and Peru were participants from the second edition of the national tournament, one of international dimension.Under the auspices of Shimano Latin American and in support of the National Tourism Ministry, both MTB professionals and followers enjoyed an excellent competition.This second date of 2014 was developed in one of the best Argentinian Down Hill trails. This circuit had some changes for this date, the distance was shortened and this leaded on a very tight definition.The competition developed completely on Sunday after the classification ordered the grid results for the final.The main theme of the day was given by the PRO category with lots of candidates for the first place. The local Juan Cruz Paez, although young, for having a high level all ready competes in PRO and was one of the candidates together with Santiago De Santiago. The last one is multiple winner in Mendoza and also the argentine rider with more national titles.Jeremias Maio from Córdoba and an integrant rider of Zenith team wasn`t able to conquer his best result and had a fifth place. Pablo Noriega from Giant team and also from Cordoba had a very good race and got the fourth place in the podium.Pablo Seewald from Bariloche and also part of Zenith team is the actual argentine champion. A little fall took him away some time and he had to be content with his third place.Juan Cruz Paez from Giant team has demonstrated why, although his young age, he is ready to compete with oldest riders. He has taken the second place, his best result up to now in an Open Shimano.
Santiago De Santiago from Cordoba and integrant of Zenith team was once again the best of the day achieving to be the only rider in completing the downhill in 2 minutes. Santi is still demonstrating why he has been for 8 years the downhill King in Argentina.
Open Shimano continues and gets to his 2014`s closure in La Falda, Cordoba on 24th and 25th of May.
