Bought this bike used for $600 and by the time I got done building it the only stock parts were the Saddle and the Handlebars. This is a true budget build. Originally when I got the bike it had a Rockshock Recon RL 130mm. I did the spacer tune to bring the fork up to 140mm. Sold the Rockshox Recon for $250 and bought a Fox 34 140mm that I bought for $85. Did a quick tune, rode it and sold it for $250 to buy a Rockshox Yari 150mm on sale for $480. The fork had a offset of 42mm making the trail about 10mm more. Within the first week I destroyed the stock WTB wheels. I found a pair of WTB 30s off a Kona locally for $250 which I ended up also destroying. Found a pair of Bontrager Line 30s for $100 but they didn't have a SRAM XD so I decided to upgrade the wheelset to a stronger Race Face Affect R 30 wheelset which I got for $280 and, you guessed it, I was able to ruin the front wheel. I reached out on FB and found someone who was selling a Bontrager Line 30 Pro for $50 and added that to the build. My brother gave me the Sram GX Eagle 10-50T Drivetrain off his 2019 Enduro. I was gifted a Chromag Daggas for my birthday after destroying a pair of cheap Amazon Nylon pedals that I got for $40 and I found a 3 Rockshox Reverbs on FB Marketplace that people weren't willing to rebuild for around $100, which I then sold each for $100 and bought a 2019 Reverb 1x for $150. I was able to pick up some Guide REs off someone locally with an e-bike for $150. When the pads wore out I upgraded them to the Gorilla Brakes Green Pads front and rear. Added a Jagwire gold cable and housing for the shifter. When the Maxxis SS and original DHF wore out I upped the game with a DH Case Dissector out back and a DD DHF up front. For the cockpit I shortened the stem to a DMR Defy 35 and opted for the ODI AG2 grips, which I went through 3 pairs of those. I added the Wolftooth GeoShift 1 degree a little later and eventually bought an additional 27.5 rear wheel for $75 that came with a GX eagle cassette so I could go mullet. The bike had a final HSA of 64.5 with the 29 on the rear and about a 63.5 with the mullet set up.
