Additional Info

I hate heavy kids bikes, so I made one to be on the light side. It is a kind of tribute to Santa Cruz Chameleon, I call it Mini Chameleon, daughter calls it sunray... welll... it seems she will not start a death metal band anytime soon...
Gathering the parts and assembly took some time, but when it was ready my daughter was just the right height to start riding it.
The goal was to have the bike, with pedals, under 8 kg, but the catalog weight of parts was in few cases much smaller than the actual. I will not post the names of the companies :-)
Still, a goal is a goal, so for the springtime I am considering going tubeless and lacing the wheels with butted spokes, maybe changing the seat for a lighter one and using titanium bolts.
Any advice is more than welcomed!
