Favourite tyre combo was Dissector/Assegai. Xynotal is a better Dissector (more grip, same roll, doesn't undercut in half a dozen rides). Will try an Kryptotal-F in Enduro/Soft once the Assegai wears out.

Dominion A4s - the most consistent/durable brakes I've used. Only PITA - this frame doesn't allow Hayes 5.5mm hoses to be routed. Swapped the back to a Jagwire Universal 5mm hose.

Vivid chosen for it's more linear feel while HBO adds progression without excessive tokens effecting rebound at different parts of travel (ideal as this frame isn't very progressive. King Cage - the firmest holding sideloader cage. Lowered position allows room for a 900mL (30oz) bottle.

Aside from a beautiful bit of industrial design on the BikeYoke Barkeeper stem, I feel like near net forged stems are severely underrated vs. the plethora of CNC stuff.

Smallest things that make the most difference: Chromag Dagga pins with a tapered base for easy removal with threads at the top for max grip.

Vorsprung Secus - does exactly what it says on the tin. Coil like initial and mid-stroke, prevents the fork from diving through the mid-stroke (especially on steeps). Favourite bit of kit.

Yama Hubs (rebranded Erase hubs) 60t ratchet hubs. Told they're better sealed/easier to maintain vs. venerable DT Hubs. Time will tell.

Additional Info

Stumpjumper EVO allowed me to get a longer chainstay while having a long enough front centre for my riding style/height. Running with mullet link to increase BB height +11 as the BB drop of 44mm (-9mm) in low+slack is horrendously low even with 165mm cranks.

Only have room for one MTB so I've built it up with some burlier parts to edge it from all-mountain to square on the fence between all-mountain/enduro to cover a wide variety of trails (mostly black, some blue and light sprinkle of bike park).

That's definitely the mullet link from Specialized in the rear. I've got both(29" and 27.5" link) and the mullet link has a slightly different shape where the shock yoke attaches and and towards rear most pivot bolts. I just checked out the specs on the Spesh website for the S-Works StEvo frameset and it lists the frame as being set up for 29f/27.5r trail geometry.

(My mistake, thought you said mullet wheel, not link in your other comment).

Yes you're right, 23 S-Works frames come standard with the mullet link (27.5/29 setup).

Was always going to run it low and slack (for extra FC and RC more than anything as I'm right on the fence between L/XL and liked those numbers on the geo chart).

This drops the BB by 9mm from Neutral/High so theroized the mullet link brings it back to base settings (apparently it had a +11mm effect + a bonus 5mm travel).

Giving it a go full 29er with mullet. If I don't gel with it I plan on giving the Cascade link a go (but so far so good). 

(Incidentally I did buy it used).

It really shows who rides a bike and knows what he needs,vs who builds a bike to show off.

(Funnily enough I also received a comment saying this build was no bueno because the tyres didn't match and for running Rockshox with Fox! 🤣).

Nice build! May I ask how you managed to run the Hayes Dominion hose through the internal routing? It's impossible in my case and, as far as I know, to others as well. Any input would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Was impossible, tried everything to no avail.

Ended up going with a Jagwire Universal Hose Kit + their Hayes Quick Fit Adapter which is a 5.0mm hose. Brake feels essentially the same.

Other option is to use a new Shimano BH-90 hose with a Hayes barb/olive but the Shimano compression nut and hose cover (as they're made for 5mm vs. Hayes 5.5mm).
