General Info
I got this bike from Paddy Behan, who runs Specialized Ireland in Dublin earlier this year. When I took the bike home to was build it up I was initially unsure if I had chosen the right bike as I had been used to riding a way more aggressive set up on my other bikes over the years. Being used to riding 150mm plus travel, I was surprised when I took it down my local trails and found that it seemed to be able to handle anything I could throw at it. I had decided before I even ridden it that it would upgrade the fork travel from 120mm up to 140mm but after a couple of rides, I honestly felt no need to do this. The bike feels balanced, nimble and more that capable on my fairly aggressive local Enduro trails. It really put the fun back into riding and even though it might not be as quick as bikes with more travel, it is arguably way more fun to ride.
I have taken part in a some Winter XC races, gone on all day open mountain spins, ridden standard trail centres as well as aggressive Enduro trails and it has performed flawlessly. It has been the bike I grab on every cycle I've been on since I took possession of it in February this year. I haven't exactly given it as easy life, riding it on trails that it clearly should not be ridden on, and it has taken it all in it's stride.
