This bike has all kinds of cool little subtle things. Including the bottle shift from WT so I can run the Specialized tool. Raw parts, insanely big brakes, coil front and rear, the Switchgrade, and my stainless ring on my little itty bitty cranks. I love it. Shattered my tibial plateau 15 weeks ago, but just getting back into careful riding and I'm stoked! Lots of the build of course occurred while injured haha.

Dope! I went a similar route, got the GX with EXT suspension and o-chain. So plush, smooth and quiet. Looking at those 5devs and almost bought them the other day. Do you feel like the 32T chainring is too big for the 155 cranks? My riding is basically winch and plunge. I've seen comments about having to go down a chainring size or else it will feel like your gearing is too high.

Oh very cool. I'm ochain curious but weigh too much I guess. Yes, the 30 tooth I have is much better, but I already had the 32 out and it looks cool. It is noticeably harder to turn by a little bit. I'm not shredding yet, but have liked them for dh, and I had a couple of friends go absolutely send it and they loved the short cranks, but rode it with a 30 for the same style winch and plunge-Belligham WA

Oh man that's awesome! Those deals were nuts haha. I'm not sad I got it when I did, but wouldn't have hurt to save some cash. I'd say use fife&flow as a coupon for some goodies, but sounds like you already are ripping . They really did a fine job with this bike.

They are sweet! Changes the lever feel a little bit and they are very strong. The rotors are sick and I didn't need the calipers for power, just curious. Getting the pistons to come out evenly was tricky, the spring retaining clip is small and I threw them away and used code ones, the bleeding edge port rubber seal is super easy to lose, but they look sweet and feel strong. 3 riders have had a go on this bike and all impressed. Anything specific?

Thats good to hear. I was actually gonna ask how it changed the lever feel. Do you feel like they are more progressive or bite more quickly when pulling? I know the contact point adjustment is supposed to handle that, but it doesnt seem like it does much on mine and Im just hoping to make it a bit more bitey and closer to shimano.

Well xt and slx 4 are my fav brakes right now. These in combination with the extra thick rotor make it kinda hard to answer your question. Lever feel may be a tiny softer, but the thick rotor hits faster so it’s a wash I I’d say. I haven’t really been able to shred them yet but it’s still fine to manual and wheelie and it’s more Shimano still

than sram….sorry not that useful. Feels a little softer at the lever than Shimano 4 with thick rotor, but not in a bad or

good way

Thanks so much! Your cranks feel like a centerpiece to me and everyone loves them. Now I'm just looking for wider pedals or a wider crank spindle to increase stance width. I used an 83 spindle on a trail bike for a while with external spacers and I think there's something to it. This bike is close to dh anyway...

Oh nice! Yeah I have owned daggas twice. I almost like the deity deftrap more…the daggas claim widest but actually they’re about the same when looking at shape laying them over and measuring. I literally stumbled into my next pedal to try. Tag metals t1 large. Biggest I’ve seen yet. Wide as or more than the other two and about the same length as deity. That’s where dagga is smaller bc it’s got chamfered edges. All good stuff and daggas are silver so maybe gotta get a 3rd pair

Hi great question! I got to ride it maybe 8 or 9 whistler days and a few local trail rides. I bought the 5k sram build and rode it mostly stock (dropper/bar/stem/wheels diff) for that time and loved it. I've gotten a few friends on it as is for a week and he's pretty sure he wants one now. It's a killer bike and killer value. My wife Danica rides for them and after seeing her ride it so much I had to get one.
