Function over Fashion
Parts
General Info
Constantly upgrading as things wear out. I enjoy 27.5" far more than wagon wheels out on the trails and there are few options. Most every part is based on value plus function. No bling. If it is proven to work and work well, it's on this bike. All the way down to the Wheels Mfg BB. No fluff. No bling.
The only OEM parts left from the previous build (2019 Process 153SE) are the Race Face cranks & Trans X post, which don't want to die, so why change. Prior build had Horizon V2 wheelset but wheel spacing on 2019 was still 142x12, so took the opportunity to elevate to the best (again...simple) DT350 built up DH strength by a pro builder.
Huge fan of the WTB Padlocs cushioned end for using as a palm rest on climbs, so I hold out that ODI buys the patent and starts pumping out Vans tan wall Padlocs. Vibrocore bar for my old hands. Horizon pedals are the best bang per buck. Stayed with Ohlins but trying coil this time. Set to 170mm.
Only upgrade will be a Cane Creek DB coil in the future.
