Getting to Know Emily Joy Newsom - Mom, Musician, Wife, and Professional Cyclist

Emily Joy Newsom wears many hats - mom, musician, wife and professional cyclist. She picked up cycling a little later in life and dedicated herself fully to perfecting the craft. Much like her days working towards becoming a classically trained musician, dedicating 6-7 hours a day towards practice, Emily has carried that drive and will to perform into cycling. She’s rose to become one of the best cyclists in America.

Newsom is now sitting 4th overall in the Life Time Grand Prix standings after the most recent race in the series, Crusher in the Tushar. As a part of the series, Life Time is releasing athlete profile videos so fans can get to know some of the leading riders in the series. In the first episode, Newsom talks about being a mom, a musician, and a multi-discipline cyclist. 

The next race in the series is the Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 taking place August 13 in Colorado.
