There are a few lines on this main rock drop, but most riders chose to take the line Ashton Smith took here.
For race one, the Pro and CAT 1 racers will be racing Dogbone in its entirety and CAT 2 and CAT 3 racers will be racing Speed Control to Pho Dogg. Dogbone is about as downhill as it gets at Northstar. Only 15% of the trail is not inhabited by rocks and rock gardens, and those parts are still no walk in the park. Right before the Daytona berms, you’ve got a tight steep chute full of roots and rocks that spits you out into the loose dusty S turns followed by the stadium jump and a sprint to the stepdown finish.
Heckling Bo MacArthur before the rock drop, only a few riders are taking this line here.
