This is #1 of two prototypes we’ve made with a mid-pivot. Travel on this one is 185mm with low ish anti squat and pedal kickback. Yes, it’s quite small because I’m 5’6”. Reach is 432mm. I wanted to get closer to the feel of a linkage operated bike while retaining the simplicity of a single pivot, hence the higher pivot. But not so high that the axle path becomes unpredictable on lips and freeridey bike park type riding. So far so good.

Can we talk about that BB height? It looks like negative drop. What was the design reasoning around that?

Don’t let the chainstay plane fool ya, on this one its actually zero drop but it does have 185mm travel so at sag it’s more reasonable. The second front triangle I have has some more ‘popular’ figures with a little more bb drop and a tad less travel.
I do favour a higher BB myself though, it’s actually one of the features of my hardtail frames.
