the "Slope Scout' - 2019 Transition Scout 10
Parts
General Info
Hitting jumps is the best. I spent most the year on the Sentinel, so when I built this Scout it wanted it to be snappy and pop off jumps like the slope style bikes I've had in the past. Tall bars, tan wall tires and color matched decals just helped kick off the aesthetic of a classic dirt jumper look. The ks dropper post is full manual, but keeps the handlebar really clean, and allows me to drop it super low from the clamp without worry of binding any cables inside the frame. The carbon Seek wheels create one of the stiffest, most precise bikes I've have owned. This things loves to snap corners. While the low unsprung weight to sprung weight ratio allows the wheels to track choppy terrain far better than I expected for a 130mm travel 27.5 bike. I've had it out on some of the steep, loamy, and off camber terrain here in the PNW, and it was a blast. I found myself jumping into and out of every undulation. This thing is a ripper.
