Swapped over to an Alloy rocker and stripped the paint. Got bored during covid and pieced together an anodizing setup for Titanium, ordered a bunch of silver bolts from BetterBolts.com, and colored them up. Gold/Purp Fade. Also got tired of ruining Maxxis tires too quickly and am trying out the Teravail's. Liking them so far.

Want some more time still to have a better comparison and write something more “formal”. But so far it’s similar to my previous experience having them on separate bikes. The EXT has a slightly sharper feel, as in you know what you’re riding over on the trail, but without it feeling harsh. It feels slightly poppier because of this. The dedicated climb switch performs a bit better as a pedal platform, and the hydraulic bottom out is huge improvement over the standard design.
The push is still incredibly smooth and has a very planted feel. I’ve always been impressed by how the push handles big hits also, it is super controlled. the dual circuit damper isn’t as true of a climb switch, but it does make bracketing and dialing in your shock super simple. You can make changes and easily test back to back. I did actually find it super useful this fall, as I was riding a lot of flow trail and jumps we are building, then switching back to a more trail friendly setting. You can still make it poppy and jump friendly but it will come at the expense of some of the smooth suppleness this shock is capable of. And if you need the switch as more of dedicated climb switch, you lose the real benefit of the dual damper.

Just curious how you stripped the anodizing and re-sealed. I used oven cleaner to strip my crankbros Mallet e Pedals but didn’t reseal. Didn’t realize it was necessary.

On something like pedals that take a beating, it’s a bit pointless to re seal. On things, like the fork top caps especially, that you want to keep looking nice it makes sense. Unsealed aluminum will oxidize and look dull after a while. On my fury from a couple years ago, it got an aged industrial look to it. The raw bits on this bike are all a somewhat shiny brushed finish so was hoping to keep that way. Used this
