How are you finding the BOS Kirk? Do the Pike & Kirk work well together, balanced, or is one still outperforming the other? How did you go about finding a tune for the Kirk, or did it come from BOS setup for your bike?

Sorry for the late reply. I got the notification when I was on holiday and then forgot all about it.

The Kirk is pretty impressive. Economical with travel and seems to just work without worrying about it. There's no odd behaviour and the air spring is very well done - soft at the top and feels very linear with no mid stroke wallow. Unfortunately the Kirk came with the wrong tune so I'm a little bit away from the "recommended" settings. It's supposed to be a 03 but I have an 02. I did order it specifically for the bike but I guess something was lost in translation and it was only after dialling it in how I liked it and ending quite far off the recommended settings that I dug a bit further and noticed the mistake. Apparently the Kirk tunes are very close though so it just means I'll be closer to one end of the scale instead of right in the middle. I've only used the climb switch a handful of times and tend to ride it fully open - general reports seem to indicate this is a trait of the bike more than the shock.

I've not really ridden it on a proper DH track yet (have another bike for that) but did think that the front and rear were well matched. For general trail riding though I couldn't be happier. I've since retrofitted a Dual Position air cart into the fork which has all of the advantages of the solo air but climbs even better.

The rims have been faultless. They were probably the easiest set of wheels I've built - laced them up that required very little adjustment.

As far as performance goes, I've not noticed a great grip increase (which should theoretically happen with a flatter tyre profile) but they've been solid so no complaints.

I'd def recommend them for the money. If money was no object, I'd like to try the a derby rims to try the extreme end of the scale.
