Kona Bicycles Presents the Maui Dream Build Sweepstakes! 1

We’ve got an extra special edition of our usual Kona Dream Build feature – announcing the Maui Dream Build Sweepstakes!

Help us raise the funds needed to complete Maui’s own bike park, located just north of Lahaina, HI. Following last year's devastating wild fires, the West Maui and Lahaina community has come together with friends from the mainland to create a space for all to ride, progress, and fall in love with this amazing location – just like the pros that built the park.

Thanks to the generous support of our partners SRAM, RockShox, DT Swiss, OneUp Components, Wolf Tooth Components, Sensus, and Peak Design, we’re giving away a dreamy large Kona Process 134 CR DL plus an assortment of gear from Troy Lee Designs and a selection of Maxxis tires to fit any season. This incredible prize package is valued at over $16,000 USD!

All profits will support the creation of the new public West Maui Bike Park through the Maui Mountain Bike Coalition. Cody Wilkins and Cam Zink at Sensus RAD Trails are building this park, with the assistance of pros Carson Storch, Damon Iwanaga, Kyle Strait, and Kona's own Eddie Reynolds.

Let's dive into the Dreamy details of the build. 

For suspension, RockShox has supplied us with a 140mm Pike Ultimate fork.

The rear suspension is taken care of with RockShox Super Deluxe Ulitmate rear shock.

SRAM has come to the party in a big way, donating a complete X01 AXS Transmission drivetrain.

As well as a set of SRAM's powerful Code Ultimates with HS2 200mm Rotors.

A RockShox AXS Reverb completes their generous contributions to the build.

The bike rolls on a beautiful set of DT Swiss XMC 1501 All-Mountain carbon wheels with their new DEG high-engagement hub. The prize package includes three sets of Maxxis rubber: two Assegai's, two Dissector's, a Minion DHF and a Minion DHR II.

It wouldn't be a Dream Build cockpit without a OneUp Components handlebar, 42mm stem, and EDC tool.

OneUp Components oil-slick aluminum pedals add just the right amount of flair.

When building a Dream Build, it would be a crime not to include a titanium bottle cage, right? Well, Wolf Tooth Components agreed and came to the party with a titanium Morse cage (including purple bolts!) and a bunch of other items to boost the bling factor...

...Like their 40cc EnCase pump and this soon-to-be-released inline pump mount…

And a Performance ZS headset complete with matching headset spacers.

A tubeless valve stem kit and seatpost clamp round out the bits and bobs from Wolf Tooth Components.

A Sensus x SDG Leather Bel-Air saddle adds a whole level of deluxe to the bike, while a set of Sensus DISISDABOSS grips keep your digits locked.

The Maui Dream Build is completed with a Peak Design V2 Out Front Bike Mount and Everyday Phone Case.

But that's not all, the winner will also take home over $500 worth of Troy Lee Designs clothing, an A1 Mips Helmet, as well as a Peak Design 50L Travel Duffel bag to keep all your goodies in!
