Additional Info

||| RIDER ||| 6'1" & ~195Lbs ||| RIDING ||| Trail/ AM w/ some Park ||| SHOCK ||| Never managed to vibe w/ stock DPX2. ("Meh" small bump. Not-great mid-range support. Unpredictable on lips.) Bomber CR great if you're on a budget and like to "set and forget". My experience has been that the Progressive Rate spring is KEY with a coil shock on this bike - Usual coil small-bump compliance, but minimizes the big hit/ hard edge bottom out/ pedal wallow/ numb feeling that people have reported from linear kinematic of Status. My ride experience: much better support in berms, pedalling platform (especially through roots Etc) and more predictability off lips. Needs more "input" to make it pop like air does at slower speeds, but nowhere near as "ground hugging" as I had feared. (VAULT probably helps a lot here). ||| TLDR ||| Bomber CR w/ Progressive Coil well worth the ~1lb weight penalty, as make up any time lost through pedal efficiency/ ability to hit stuff with more confidence.
