The patrol was an active bike. It jumped well and pedaled great. When things got rough it was more than capable with a 160 fork. The Xquare One does the same but better. It pedals like nothing else I’ve ridden, particularly considering it’s a 180mm sq travel bike. Imagine taking a Scott voltage on an XC loop???!!! Nah this thing doesn’t skip a beat, you don’t miss a pedal stroke either up, along or down. It’s a beast. Yeah it splits opinion on looks but hey, we’ve all screwed an ugly chick and if we’re really honest with ourselves that ugly chick always pops up in our minds when we’re having 5 minutes with ourselves doesn’t she. A great ride is a great ride after all.

Better than my 2017 patrol. I had a 2018 Nomad 4, test rode the the polygon and instantly put the Nomad up for sale. Best bike I’ve ridden both up and down the hill! If you get a chance demo one. Polygon have a demo day at FOD this Saturday if you’re in the U.K. buddy.
