I'm not sure you will see a ton of coils on this bike - but Brian is an extremely smooth pedaler so he can get away with a more linear setup than most. There also is a descent amount of custom tuning on a coil's compression circuit to have them work ideally with the more modern chassis designed around the ramp rate familiar to air shocks. Coil is an option for the right rider though
