Nice! How much PSI are you running in the Float X2 and how much do you weigh? I'm gonna get one for my Demo too but not sure now after the recall and the lower max pressure they gave it.

Hi there,
I weigh 130 lbs and run 165 psi. If you have the older style Demo (not one-sided seat tube) just know that to fit the rear shock mount into the rear triangle you need to chisel away at the rocker mount quite thoroughly for it to fit, took me a few hours of filing. Good luck!

hey I was wondering if the fox float x2 fit fine in that space. I have a demo 8 2012 and really wanted to put an air shock on it

The shock air can fits no problem, but you have to dremmel down the horst link where the rear eyelet of the shock connects to the bike. The shock's rear eyelet is tapered and the horst link isn't so you have to shave it out to accommodate it.

Bizarre I know...got them for free though, better than the Elixirs that were on there. Believe it not I've had no problems with them!
