Hi,
I'm starting my first ever build, and would like to know if I got it right so far...
I did some research online but you can never know how it will all build up and this is where experience will be handy
So, I will mainly ride in trails up to 40km.
I used to have the merida e one sixty 9000 and I loved the fox factory and dps x2 but the bike was very heavy (still electric engine) so sold it.
In this build I would like to save as much weight as possible without breaking the bank.
Found on ebay a good deal of the frame + shock + fork (also comes with a new stem and handlebar) so thats why they were chosen
Please let me know what you think of this build, and where I can save money or weight or where I should spend more money on.
Thanks!

Your BB is for 24mm spindle cranks but you list a SRAM GX crank, you need a BSA threaded BB that is sized for DUB 28.99mm.
The main place I’d try to save weight is with lighter wheels, but they will cost you. GX cassette/cranks are pretty heavy too but less bang for your buck to save weight there.
@ZAKBROWN! Thanks mate!
Ill replace the BB for 28.99mm
I'm looking for some lighter wheels, but as you said they are so bloody expensive 😫
The XX1/X01 Cassettes and cranks are almost twice as much if not more, are they worth it ? would you go for something else if not the GX ?
In my opinion the weight savings aren’t worth the money. Like if you add it all up, you will end up saving a pound more if you are lucky.
Your build seems good for the price, it’s not like the build is excessively heavy, seems average weight.
