Did you enjoy the dpx with the 500lb? I weigh 160 and felt need to go to a 550lb spring. Feels more like a mini DH. Also has the Cascade Component link and that was major boost all around

I can’t stand riding in first gear with such a high tooth count. I find it too twitchy and torquey at slow speeds going up hill. Also I wanted to run the short cage XTR, there’s a ton of rocky terrain here in north jersey and just want it tucked up and away as much as possible.

To be honest not really haha. A little more front end grip but then again the last bike I rode with a grip 2 was a RM Instinct. Which was an awesome bike, absolutely loved the geo. The size large fit me incredibly well at 5’10, the wheelbase and short chai stays were spot on and overall Bike was super playful. So comparing grip2 to the new VVC, hard to say since it was on 2 different bikes.

That rear shock is in a box ready to be shipped out for warranty today. 😂 waiting for the float X2 to come back in stock.

I replaced the stock dpx2 air shock thingy within weeks of getting the bike with a ttx as I didn’t want to wait for it to fail.

Funny you say that, the TTX on my Demo Race is failing. Ohlins trying to say it’s a bad bearing on my frame. Mean while modes 1 and 3 feel fine, mode 2 is crunchy.
