1 member reviews
I've ridden Shimano, Wellgo, Crank Brothers Candy, and various options from Time. That includes the Z, MX6, XRoc, and Speciale 8. They have the classic Time feel and you know exactly what you're getting. The float is good, engagement is great, easy to get out when needed, etc. The grip is pretty good when unclipped thanks to the ridges in the body.
There's a reason that Time pedals have such good reviews. Do they have flashy World Cup champs designing new pedals and come out w/ big press releases? Not that I'm aware of. I don't ride these because my favorite DH or Enduro rider is sponsored and uses them. They simply work well.
I ride w/ Giro Terraduros and the cleats all the way to the back. Make sure your cleats are not too beat up. That's the only time I have issues w/ Time pedals. The material is somewhat soft and after a season of riding they need to be replaced. Cheap fix.
Specifications
ATAC (Auto Tension Adjustment Concept) retention system guarantees easy engagement and dependable release exactly when you want it, regardless of conditions. The open, self-cleaning design sheds mud, allows fast, easy engagements and distributes your pedaling pressure over a large area for maximum support.
