France's Louis Reboul is no stranger to sending massive jumps at 7:30AM. Welcome to Red Bull Rampage Qualifiers. - Turman
Tyler McCaul and Carson Storch discuss the possibilities as Todd Barber forewarns of potential weather issues. The Top 10 qualifiers will join the 10 pre-qualified riders in the finals. - Turman
While head judge Paul Rak explains the judging criteria, Mitch Ropelato kicks things off with some of his smooth style. - Pondella
Ropelato washed out on his first run but came back strong later in the day. His second hurrah could all be for naught though, as we'd soon find out. - Steen
Kyle Norbraten found the strength to hold on despite an injured hand. He currently sits in a comfortable 4th place. - Steen
Paul Bas built himself a 50-foot canyon gap at the top of his run that proved to be both his and KC Deane's undoing this week. Hopefully he can master it if given a second chance. - Trumpore
Paul Bas in full blast mode. The moto jump is a big one. - Steen
Wil White did it for Bender. - Turman
Szymon Godziek rode consistently well, flipping the canyon gap along the way and landing himself in 3rd spot after run one. A sidelined Logan Binggeli weighs in on the day in the audio. - Pondella
It's not just flips and tricks that put Szymon into 3rd. He has some rowdy lines in the mix as well. - Trumpore
Even with big moves like this, Mike Hopkins is sitting in 11th, just one spot out of contention after his first run. The weather delay means he may get another chance. - Trumpore
Despite a popular and rather controversial opinion, Chris Van Dine didn't poach Bourdon's entire line. He only made it 80% of the way there. - Turman
Kyle Jameson calm and composed off the GoPro stepdown. All that Fest Series training shows. - Turman
It's not just whips and style from Ryan Howard. He can handle his business in the gnar as well. Having completed both runs already, he may be sweating it out as he sits on the bubble, just one spot away from elimination. - Trumpore
Carson Storch has been slowly building up a reputation as the next big American freeride sensation. With moves like this on the exposed upper ridge it's easy to see why. - Trumpore
Yannik Granieri through the notch. - Trumpore
Massive stepdowns on knife edge ridges are just one of the many reasons why Tom Van Steenbergen is currently holding down 2nd place. - Trumpore
Yeow! Robbie Bourdon's still got it. - Turman
An unfortunate crash for Bourdon off this drop near the top could mean he'll sit out finals though. - Pondella
First of the #freeracers, Bernard Kerr stormed down the fall line of the mountain and occupies 7th spot with a solid chance of making the finals. - Trumpore
Geoff Gullevich's run had some big risks and with it big rewards. He sits in 6th place. - Trumpore
Nicholi Rogatkin's day didn't go as planned with a crash up high. Call it a learning experience. For a rider that just picked up a DH bike a few weeks ago, we're still impressed. - Pondella
Makken Haugen shreds snowmobiles during the winter in his home country of Norway and isn't afraid to borrow a little sledneck style just for the fun of it. Yeah dude! - Trumpore
Keeping it raw and natural, James Doerfling sits in 8th. With a few big hitters still waiting to take second runs he may be at risk of being pushed outside the Top 10 cut off point. - Trumpore
Mitch Chubey is known more as a freerider, but that doesn't mean he can't pin it down gnarly terrain with the best of them. Unfortunately a crash near the bottom ruinied his first run, but he may get a second chance. - Trumpore
At 8:00am I still had my morning coffee at my side trying to wake up. Meanwhile Graham Agassiz was throwing flips over 46-foot gaps. Unfortunately his day didn't go as planned. - Trumpore
After a crash off a 30+ foot cliff and a tomahawk down the next ridge, Aggy's bike suffered nothing more than a slightly bent derailleur hanger. - Pondella
Miraculously Aggy walked away unscathed but sore. - Trumpore
A sign of thing to come? About two minutes after this ominous looking sky appeared, the thunder and lightning arrived, striking just meters from the ridge lines. - Trumpore
And then the rain came... - Steen
Jeff Herberston rests comfortably in 5th place following an impressive run. - Turman
As of Saturday morning, the first run results still stand. Will weather allow for run two to be completed? It doesn't look likely... - Turman
Brett Rheeder hit this steep and exposed drop for the first time the morning of his quali run and admitted it was easier than he anticipated. He kept it smooth and steady from there on out and is currently sitting at the top of the result sheet. - Trumpore
Ever wonder what dust looks like when it gets wet? After the rains came through it only took a few feet of riding to grind a bike to a hault. With more weather approaching, riders and spectators were asked to leave the venue for the day. - Trumpore
Sun on the left, rain on the right. What will hit where and when? Not even the weathermen know for certain. Let's all hope for the best. - Turman

Description
Following a week of slaving away in desert heat, riders laid it all on the line with hopes of making the finals. As is becoming all too common with Rampage, the weather would have the final say.

UPDATE: Riders will be allowed to complete their second runs on Sunday, which could shake up qualification results. Finals will be moved to Monday. View the latest results and schedule updates here.
