If you are from Europe, Mr. Palazarri, you have the unfair advantage of being able to drive to any of these venues to practice, while the rest of the world has to fly. Kolb & Coulanges won races at their *home mountains* last year. What is a week of extra practice on a mountain vs a lifetime? The only way to completely level the playing field is to ban all World Cup racers from riding at all World Cup venues year-round except for officially sanctioned practice leading up to a race.
Go ahead and add rules to the book limiting practice of an officially-marked course, but it will still do nothing to change the lifetime of "unfair" advantage European locals accumulate on mountains they grow up racing.

Plenty of people ride WC tracks before/after the races there, But doing so 7 days out from the race, when the course is marked and taped etc.. is pretty unheard of. So Davide was right to be pi**ed. He was complaining about the proximity to racing not the fact that people were riding the track.
Likewise, Coulanges isn't from Les Gets and the track is not really open as far as I know, it's made for racing apparently? And I'm pretty sure Kolb is sponsored by Schladming and lives quite far away from Leogang. But whatever. Dem pesky Euros are all evil freedom haters.

Compare that to brazil. I have to spend 2 months of minimun wage to get to the nearest bike park for 2 days, and come back.

STOKED to see this. A bud convinced me to goto 50mm bars a few years back: totally amazing. We're both on 80's now and all we get is looks like we're on walmart bikes...until the said griper takes a run on the bike and is amazed at 80's on a DH bike. I swear by it (and I'm nobody, it just feels awesome).

I pay $16 a month for ad free service which includes everything on MAX. $16 is not much, you can cancel after race season and watch the shows you like while you have it.

It's also awesome having to pick junior riders. Makes me want to have two squads: one chock full of big swingers and another loaded with underdogs and future talent.
