wow, wow, wow. 

to me, this all looks pretty sweet. Weather looks fantastic and the track fast and well put together.

Could be the last bit of canadian winter getting to me but, watching this sure made me wish i was overthere riding.

I get that we wanna act like making the tracks wider & faster to get to hit World Cup bomb holes is what it takes to win a World Cup.

But turning regional races into less than 2 minute OHV trails is not ideal. Need tight tech. Bomb holes, zero pedaling and bunny hopping over a root ball at 25mph is losing interest for me.

WIndRock before becoming a park never had a single catch berm.  Now it's catch berms end to end.
Hard to explain, but modern DH always has a catch berm waiting to make a track simpler.
I first noticed it at Whistler Bike Park in my only trip there.

All the big, gnarly tech trails and there's a catch berm waiting for you at the base of every chute.
I know it's slower to blitz off camber, but man it takes skill and has a much higher pucker factor.
