Hot on the heels of an exciting junior race, the elites took to the track in Les Gets to lay down their bid for a spot in tomorrow's semi-finals (as a reminder, 15 women and 60 men go through to the semis, + any protected riders who may have finished outside the top-15 or top-60 respectively). Vali Höll continues her uncontested run among the elite women right now, tripping the timing beam some 3 seconds ahead of Marine Cabirou, although her main rival Nina Hoffmann was DSQed so we don't really know how they stack up just yet. Nina is protected and will race tomorrow.
In the elite men's category, Benoit Coulanges has been knocking on the door as of late, and he stated his intentions here again this week with a qualifying win that makes him the man to beat tomorrow.
